Amsterdam Tulp Festival
“One tulip for every citizen in Amsterdam”
Every year many tourists visit the Keukenhof to see all kinds of tulips. But wouldn’t it be a great idea to see the tulips in the city of Amsterdam as well? Landscape architect Saskia Albrecht decided, after visiting the Tulip Festival in Istanbul, to organize a tulip festival in the city of Amsterdam.
During the month of April hundreds of thousands blooming tulips can be admired in dozens of venues all over the capital. In line with the motto ‘ a tulip for every Amsterdam citizen”, organizations, museums and hotels will open their colorful tulip gardens to the public. The city’s public spaces in the different city districts will be adorned with impressive tulip creations both between regular planting and in pots.
A brochure with information on the different kind of tulips will guide the visitors along the various venues. This brochure can be purchased at the participating organizations. Have a look on the website of the Amsterdam Tulp festival to find these locations and for more information about the festival itself
