Keukenhof season 2016 successful
Today Keukenhof has closed its doors after a wonderful spring season with 1.1 million visitors. The visitors appreciated the flower show with an 8.9 as grade. The most beautiful spring garden in the world is satisfied with this result.
Beautiful flower gardens Groot-Bijgaarden
From April 6th till May 6th 2016 the Floralia-Brussels flower exhibition can be visited. The Floralia-Brussels is a spring flower exhibition in the park and the greenhouses at the grounds of Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden. This year it will celebrate its 13th anniversary. Tulip Route Dronten with Izi Travel App
Some times we come across a lovely new app for tulip lovers. The new Tulip festival in Dronten has developed several routes along the flower fields and made a wonderful app based on GPS position where you can hear interesting information along the route.
Flower update – week 13
After a beautiful Sunny Saturday we got a very rainy and stormy Easter Weekend. The people who have attend the periscope broadcasting know this already … the tulips in the Willem Alexander Pavilion are in bloom!
Flower update – week 12
The daffodils are in bloom in the fields and I expect to see them as well in bloom at Keukenhof. There is still no sign of blooming hyacinths; these flowers are next in line to bloom and help to predict if we have an early or regular springtime.
Second Tulip Route Dronten
Following a successful event in 2015, the preparations for the Tulip Route Dronten 2016 are well on their way to make sure the tulip route for this year is of a significantly higher quality. The number of tulip fields included in the route has been increased to over 85 fields this year. And the number of activities en-route has also been increased.
