This week is opening week of Keukenhof. For us at Tulips in Holland the sign that spring has started officially. Today we got our season passes for the Keukenhof and we are looking forward to see all the flower in bloom.
After we picked up our passes, we drove around to see which flower fields were in bloom already. We could spot lots of crocus and daffodils fields and we even saw some early red tulips. See more of them at our photo stream.
When you peek over the fence of Keukenhof you can see crocus and daffodils in bloom and also some early red tulips. From the Keukenhof facebook page learned that there are some tulips in bloom at the indoor flower exhibition. Looking forward to photograph them all!
For the next week we expect to see more hyacinth fields and some extra early tulip fields. The daffodils will be in bloom and if the weather isn’t too warm the crocus will be in bloom as well.
When you are travelling to Keukenhof next week pay attention when you are driving by bus in the town of Lisse. To your right side you can see some daffodils fields and after the round about you can spot the red tulips and the windmill of the Keukenhof behind. Lovely site to see!
Inside Keukenhof you will mainly see crocus and daffodils outside and tulips in the indoor exhibition. Don’t forget to have a look in the other indoor exhibitions too. Especially the orchid exhibition is definitely worth a visit. For a view of all indoor exhibitions click here.

Hi Len, No I am sorry, all the tulips are gone by than. The 21st of May is the very end of spring time. Generally the best time to see the tulips is last 2 weeks of April to max the first week of May. Most tulip fields are headed around the 30th of April to grow the bulb (just right after peak blooming) this year we have an early spring so the tulips will be in bloom earlier too. At the end of May all flower fields will be gone. I am sorry. Next time travel mid to end april to see the fields.
