Botanical Art of spring flowers
Are you interested in botanical art? The Society of Botanical Artists of the Netherlands is showing their work in the exhibition “Bulb flowers’ at museum de zwarte tulp in Lisse on a short walk (15 min.) from the beautiful Keukenhof garden.
In 2016 the society is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the motto “World of Plants under the magnifier”. Member of the society exhibit their work March 4th to August 21st.
During the opening of Keukenhof garden, the images of flowering spring bulbs and tubers are shown. After the change from May 31 to August 21, flowering summer bulbs and tubers are exhibited. In both periods can be visited around 60 watercolors and black / white drawings of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, crocuses and other specialty bulbs and tubers.
During the exhibition weekly activities, lectures and workshops for both museum visitors and schoolchildren. On the websites of the Museum and the Society you can find more information.
