
Floriade 2022 Almere
The Floriade is an international garden festival and exhibition that is held every ten years in the Netherlands. The World Expo Floriade Amsterdam Almere is listed by the World Horticultural Expositions, by the International Association of Horticultural Producers and hence recognised by the Bureau International des Expositions.
The Floriade is coordinated by the Dutch Horticultural Council. This council aims to strengthen the image of the Dutch horticulture and to promote exports.
The next Floriade will be held in 2022 and has as theme “Growing Green Cities”. Its location is just outside Amsterdam in the city of Almere. It will be open from springtime until autumn.
History
The first Floriade was held in 1960 in the city of Rotterdam. The Euromast and the surrounding park around it are still there. In the past decades the international garden festival and exhibition was held in

- Haarlemmermeer (2002)
- Venlo (2012)
Floriade 2022 Almere impressions
When the world expo in Almere ends, the area will be used to make a green living area for the city of Almere.

Season 2022 is rapidly approaching
Spring season 2022 is rapidly approaching! It looks like the Covid measures in the Netherlands will be reduced and that all spring activities can continue.
This means that we are all looking forward to visiting Keukenhof and Floriade in addition to the dozens of other activities around flowers.

In Full Bloom – Museum Mauritshuis in The Hague – The Netherlands
The exhibition In Full Bloom opens today in the Mauritshuis in The Hague. The museum is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. For the start of this celebration, they have chosen a very festive subject, namely flowers.
