Some times we come across a lovely new app for tulip lovers. The new Tulip festival in Dronten has developed several routes along the flower fields and made a wonderful app based on GPS position where you can hear interesting information along the route.

What a wonderful weekend! We had a lovely Meet & Greet on Friday afternoon at the tourist office of Noordwijkerhout. And yesterday we had the flower parade! Amazing Flower Art at Floralies 2016
From 22 April through 1 May 2016, the city of Ghent in Belgium will be in bloom and entirely devoted to the 2016 Floralies (also known als Floralien). For ten days long, four iconic locations will form the backdrop for the loveliest creations.
Golden Age flourishes at Keukenhof 2016
The 67th edition of Keukenhof is officially opened in the presence of the Girl with a Pearl Earring. In 2016 the theme is “The Golden Age”; the period during which the world was being discovered and trade flourished.
Flower update – Week 16
After a lovely weekend waking up between the tulip fields at Landal Beach Resort Ooghduyne, (what a lovely place!) I am back home in preparation for a visit to Floralien in Gent (Belgium) and the flower parade this weekend.

Last weekend I spend at the top of North Holland the area in the Netherlands with the largest tulip fields. I stayed at Landal Beach resort Ooghduyne for the weekend and what a lovely place. It is the perfect place for waking up next to the tulip fields!
Frans Hals Museum – Flowers from afar
From March 24 until May 16, 2016 the Frans Hals Museum is traditionally under the spell of flowers. The halls and corridors of the museum decorated with fresh flower bouquets and other floral art in particular (tulips) vases. Haarlem, located in the bulb area, is a flower city par excellence. In addition a small exhibition tells you the story of the tulip mania in the Golden Age and artists who went far away in search of unusual flowers

Flower update – Week 15
The temperature is getting warmer every week! We had a couple of sunny days with lovely temperatures and some days with some rain. Perfect weather for springtime!

We had a lovely weekend with unexpected warm temperatures above the 18 degrees C! You can almost hear the flowers grow and getting in bloom!
