After a very cold winter, with lots of snow, wind and rain, the weather is finally getting better! The days are getting longer and this week, I got up in the morning and saw a little bit of blue sky! BLUE! (As you might have noticed, I LOVE the spring.)
Besides loving the spring, I love photographing as well. In the next few weeks, the weather is getting better in Holland, the temperature is rising, the trees are getting their leafs back and the crocusses will peek just above the ground everywhere! This is a great time for me to get ready to photograph.
Because you are reading my page, I recon that your not from Holland (maybe not even from Europe?) and that you would love to see the flowerfields in Holland sometime. Just so you know: a lot of tourists have the opportunity to come here and see those flowers, but sometimes I hear that they felt sad because of coming in the wrong week of the year. Sometimes I feel that they should have visited a week or a month later to see their favorite flowers bloom.
So, with this website I try to inform you about the blooming time of every flower, so you don’t get dissapointed when you come here! Also I tell you about the nice events that are coming up regarding flowers, so maybe you can combine these things together and have a great time! Also I give you some overall information about Keukenhof, transportation and openinghours.
If you want a sneak preview: just see my photo’s I made in Keukenhof in 2010. And if you like them and want to learn to make such nice pictures yourself: it is possible! This website will give you a lot of tips to photograph the flowers so you can enjoy them still when you are back at home already! I’m sure they look good on your wall in your livingroom at home :).
If you are one of the lucky ones that can stay for a couple of weeks, let me know. As a local, I can give you some tips what to visit in Holland (and what is not worth to visit!). Hope you have a great time in Holland.
