Bloemencorso 2016 – Flower parade 2016
Mark your calendars for the bloemencorso flower parade of 2016. Every year this flower parade full with spring flowers will drive from the seaside town of Noordwijk to the city of Haarlem.

Friday 22 april 2016 – evening Bloemencorso in Noordwijkerhout
Around Friday afternoon, the floats arrive in the town center of Noordwijkerhout. All visitors can admire the floats from up close and lots of activities are held (music bands – street performance).
This is the perfect time to make up photos of the parade floats. Around 21.15 the illuminated bloemencorso passes through the town center of Noordwijkerhout. After one hour the parade will be parked overnight at a secure place. Early on Saturday morning the floats will arrive in Noordwijk.
Saturday 23 april 2016 – Bloemencorso Noordwijk to Haarlem
At 9.30 the parade will start from the light house at the boulevard in the town of Noordwijk and will travel through many different places:
- Voorhout around 11.15
- Sassenheim around 12.00
- Lisse around 14.50
- Hillegom around 16.10
- Bennebroek around 19.25
- Heemstede around 19.50
- Haarlem around 20.35
- Arrival Haarlem city center around 21.20
See the map of 2015 for more detailed timetable and planning. In Sassenheim and Hillegom the floats will be parked for a lunch/dinner break for the participants. A new map and timetable will be released around the end of March 2016.

On Sunday you can visit the floats in the city center of Haarlem. They are parked in the beautiful old city center and you can walk around and see the floats up close. Every year many activities are organized by the city from music to street performance and lovely food stalls.

We will be traveling from Amsterdam to Haarlem early evening or late afternoon on the day of the Flower Parade. Will we have a problem getting there (the buses/trains will be full)? Will there be delays? What is the best way to get to Haarlem on this day? Will we have a problem getting back to Amsterdam? Thank you!
If you are traveling by train and walking around in Haarlem you won’t encounter any problems due to the flower parade. Most people visiting the parade are local or traveling by car. I expect no problems in traveling back to Amsterdam by train. Have fun at the bloemencorso!
