Dutch Kissing Couple
Every now and than I come across something typical Dutch in a new way. All the people who have travelled to the Netherlands will remember the Dutch Kissing Couple. You can find them in all shapes and formats at the tourist- and souvenir shops.
A few weeks ago I visited a trade fair and this Kissing Couple caught my eye. I have never seen this before! I met the Dutch designer Angeliek Caelen from Steam Waverz shortly after that. She studied at the Academy of Art as well as at the Art Teachers College. Angeliek Caelen gained inspiration for this product feeling to thank someone in a special way. This is why she designed Steam Waverz with a unique ‘steam technique’.
We had a fun conversation about these paper artworks who come to life through the use of steam. It is simple, organic and magical. It is almost as they will come to life. She made these two designs: Love Birds & Dutch Kissing Couple. Both designs come in different colour schemes and adds a richness to any table setting or set. The collection will soon incorporate more eye catching designs.

Each giftbox includes ten re-usable Steam Waverz, made from thin, light and translucent material. After each use make sure to flatten your Steam Waverz again, ready for re-use. Create your own peaceful daily tea ritual or give them as a special gift.
