Tulip Route Dronten with IZI TRAVEL app
Some times we come across a lovely new app for tulip lovers. The new Tulip festival in Dronten has developed several routes along the flower fields and made a wonderful app based on GPS position where you can hear interesting information along the route.
There are three cycling routes: area Swifterbant, area Biddinghuizen and area Dronten, there are two hiking routes in Swifterbant en Biddinghuizen and there is one car route through all of Dronten.
The maps of the routes are available for download at the website or can be collected at different starting points. In addition to this, the tulip route by car can this year be experienced with the IZI Travel app. As an extra, visitors can read more about the various attractions or listen to the audio tour. The audio tour is available in Dutch and English.
The app can be downloaded in the various app stores on smartphones and tablets. The app also allows you to download the car map route on your mobile device so you won’t need mobile internet.
In addition to the tulip fields, there are also different Points of Interest en-route. Dronten offers a lot of space, a modern agriculture with a rigid subdivision of land. Almost 60 years ago Dronten didn’t exist and was reclaimed from the sea. Beautiful tulip fields now grow on the same sea floor. Furthermore, Dronten is a peaceful area to visit and you won’t be bothered by traffic jams!
Dronten is located just an hour away from Schiphol and is easily accessible for foreign tourists as well. The train takes you from Schiphol to Dronten in just 73 minutes. . And the ancient ‘Tulips from Amsterdam….’ is just as beautiful 85 km away.
