Keukenhof season 2016 successful
Today Keukenhof has closed its doors after a wonderful spring season with 1.1 million visitors. The visitors appreciated the flower show with an 8.9 as grade.
The most beautiful spring garden in the world is satisfied with this result. 2016 is the third consecutive year the Keukenhof attracted over 1 million visitors. The beautiful, cold spring led to eight weeks full with blooming spring flowers.
The increasing number of visitors to Keukenhof is partly the result of younger visitors. They experience Keukenhof more and more like a trendy park for a fun day out among the flowers.
The visitors of Keukenhof came from more than 100 different countries. The visits from countries like France and America rose. Emerging markets are visitors from China and countries from Southeast Asia.
Despite the large number of visitors the traffic around Keukenhof went without problems this season. In 2016, Keukenhof together with her partner Arriva, transported more than 200,000 visitors with public transport to Keukenhof gardens.
For 2017 the theme of Keukenhof is announced, it will be “Dutch Design”. Keukenhof expects Dutch Design add inspiring events to the flower park, along with new partners.
Next spring season Keukenhof will be open from March 23rd to May 21st 2017.

Hi Nienke, I have a friend coming to visit this weekend, May 21st. Will the flower fields surrounding Keukenhof still be there? I know that they are typically cut after some time, but i’d love to show her and sadly she just missed Keukenhof. Let me know if you have any insight! Thanks 🙂
Hi Morgan, Unfortunately all the fields are gone. Keukenhof has closed its doors last Monday. You have to wait till springtime 2017 to see them again.
