How to get to Keukenhof early in the morning (before opening time)
For photographers it is a dream to walk into the Keukenhof around opening time. You can make beautiful photos of the flowerbeds without any crowds. The Keukenhof Express bus doesn’t start before 8.30 on weekdays and at 8.00 during weekend. So how to get to Keukenhof before opening time?
At least you have to get up early! But it is absolutely worth it when the weather is crisp and sunny.
Several options
- Rent a car – which you can also use to see flower fields in the flower area
- Take a taxi – from Amsterdam € 95,- or from Schiphol € 55,-
- Take the express bus Q-line 361 from Schiphol to Lisse Vreeswijk (stop) and walk 10 min to the main entrance of Keukenhof.
- Take train from Schiphol to Sassenheim and the bus 50 from Sassenheim Station to Lisse Vreeswijk (stop) and walk 10 min to the main entrance of Keukenhof.
The crows on regular days (not on Easter and Parade weekend) will start to build up from 10.00 in the morning. It is busier on weekends (incl. Friday) and holidays than on weekdays (Monday – Thursday).
