This weekend: Bloemencorso Rijnsburg
Are you in the Netherlands this week and do you want to visit a bloemencorso / flower parade. Have a look at Bloemencorso Rijnsburg. This bloemencorso is held around the Rijnsburg, Katwijk and Noordwijk area and can easily be reached from the city of Leiden. At this bloemencorso / flower parade lots of summer flowers are used in contrast to the Bloemencorso around the Keukenhof in spring time where they use mostly spring flowers like tulips, daffodils and hyacinths.
It is the 70th edition of the flower parade Rijnsburg and 70 floats are participating next weekend. The theme of the parade is Sound of Flowers! And the Dutch Television will make coverage of this bloemencorso. The floats are interspersed with beautiful flower decorated passenger cars and other vehicles, music bands and acting figures.
The flower parade will start on Friday night the 7th of August from 7 PM with the Flower Parade Show, an evening with music, shows and lots of flowers. This show will take place at the Bloemenveiling FloraHolland Rijnsburg.

The names above are the street names in the different towns – use Google Maps to find them. On Sunday you can watch the stationary parade on the Koningin Astrid Boulevard in Noordwijk all day long.

Be on time – Lots op people are expected to watch the parade. Calculate some time for traveling to your location and to park your car.
