National Tulip Day 2016
And the date for the National Tulip Day 2016 is set! On the 16th of January from 1 p.m. in the afternoon the Dam Square of Amsterdam will be turned into a large tulip picking garden. From early in the morning a large team of people will build the pop-up garden in the centre of Amsterdam. Around 1 p.m. the garden will be open for the public and every body can pick some tulips to take home. Based on previous years the tulip garden will be empty around 4 p.m.
Be early if you want to enter the pop up tulip garden. Last year the first people got in line around 10 in the morning. Around midday a long line was formed around the square. The theme for 2016 will be Europe. Entree to the pop up garden is free.
