Current status of the flowers 17 april 2017
Crispy cold weather, a bit of wind, cloudy skies and some sunshine. That sums up the past couple of days. When you are visiting in the next week bring a scarf, hat and maybe some mittens, they are forecasting freezing night temperatures and some cold days.
For the flower fields we are having peak blooming. They flowers are looking better and more colorful every day. As long as the weather stays cool we can enjoy them for a longer time. The daffodils are still here so are the hyacinth fields. The hyacinths and daffodils are getting over their peak blooming. I expect to see color in the fields for approximately the next two weeks, after that I expect a lot of fields to be headed.
Keukenhof is getting more and more gorgeous every day. Compared to last year we are heading one or two weeks on the blooming of last year. I expect that the next 2 to 3 weeks are best for a visit to Keukenhof. I’ve seen photos and videos of the other tulip areas in the Netherlands and they are looking wonderful as well.

Hi! We will be visiting on April 28-May 1. Do you think the flower route and keukenhof will still be looking good?
Perfect time to see the tulips at Keukenhof. The heading of the tulips will be started around the end of april
Hello! I’m planning a trip from overseas and wonder if it’s worth it for me to come around may 11-15. Will the tulips be all gone you think? Will there be other flowers or is it a wasted trip? I really want to see the tulips but cannot make it in next 2 weeks.

Hi! How are the fields looking now? Do you think they will still be in bloom next weekend (May 5th – 8th)?
