Tesselaar tulip festival

Experience the vibrant hues and fragrant blooms of the Tesselaar Tulip Festival, a dazzling celebration of springtime held at Silvan, Victoria, Australia, just an hour outside of Melbourne. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, this enchanting event invites visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature’s most iconic flower.

Held during the Australian springtime from September to October, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival showcases a spectacular display of over 500,000 tulips in an impressive array of 100 different varieties. As visitors wander through the meticulously landscaped gardens, they are greeted by a riot of colors, from bold reds and sunny yellows to soft pinks and pristine whites.

But the Tesselaar Tulip Festival is more than just a feast for the eyes; it’s a celebration of culture, music, and culinary delights. The 2015 festival promises four weeks of live entertainment, featuring a diverse lineup of theme days and weekends. From Turkish and Dutch celebrations to food and wine tastings, jazz performances, and Irish festivities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the exciting entertainment lineup, the festival offers eight fantastic days of fun during school holidays, making it the perfect family-friendly destination. Children can partake in a variety of activities, including interactive workshops, face painting, and carnival rides, ensuring a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

As you stroll through the enchanting gardens, take a moment to savor the sights, sounds, and scents of springtime in full bloom. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a music lover, or simply seeking a day of outdoor adventure, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Australia’s most beautiful season.
